Name: Rayner
Age: 635
Age At Changing: 18
Gender: Male
Species: vampyr
Affilation: Opportunist
Occupation: Thief, gambler, and payed informant by both sides
Physical Description: Ray is an individual with a very lean build. He weighs in at about 85 kgs and reaches about 6'2" in height. His weight is very evenly distributed and does not truly bulk up in any particular area. He has very messy, almost spikey, looking dark blonde hair that seems to never ever be combed. Within his eye sockets are a pair of bluish green intelligent eyes. They hold a jaded appearance to them, nearly contradicting his rather innocent appearance. His skin tone has a natural olive tone, causing the illusion of him being tanner than most would think for someone that is of his kind.
He is usually wearing a blazer or a jacket of some sort on his form in order to carry any sort of weapon that he would use/sell. Whatever he wears, he makes sure that there are plenty of areas where he can store a bunch of his lovely tricks. He also usually has sunglasses on his person, a trademark of a good cardplayer.
Personality and Temperament: Rayner is a gambler in so many different aspects. He has an almost unhealthy addiction to cards and games of chance. He tends to also have the habit of bluffing a great deal of the time. Fortunately, his state of mind tends to keep people from ever calling his bluff. He is a tad over confident though, knowing that to both sides he is valuable and untouchable. Due to his overheightened sense of self-importance, Ray also has the tendancy to shoot off his mouth no matter what company he is in. He also has a very sarcastic attitude and can come off as the comic relief to either of the warring factions.
He plays situations to meet his needs and his alone. He does not care particularly for any one side. He pretends to sympathize with both the Aurillians and the Brudjans. He also has no problems with feeding either side information about their rivals. Either way, he remains on the fence and will hop to whichever side that comes out on top. Some say this is cowardice, Rayner simply categorizes his allgience as "opportunist."
History: Rayner grew up as a fairly neutral individual. While he was born as Aurillian, his parents died far too early to instill such values into such a young, shapable mind. His family had been rather poor, and his parents were caught by a Brudjan stealing food to feed their only son. Needless to say, that was the last thing Rayner's parents ever did. This left Rayner on his own since the tender age of seven. He spent the rest of his mortal adolexcence on the streets, stealing for food and pulling cons and scams in order to survive, finding the world not as bright as his own people taught. In fact, he found it quite the opposite. After all, not many want to take in a boy who appears to have no physical prowess or special gift. He started picking pockets for money and soon started gambling most of the said money away. Once he would repay whatever debt he owed, it seemed that he would just gamble away any earnings, only to find himself in debt once again. Not too long after his eighteenth birthday, Rayner was hit with the Plague. He "died" in the back of a gambling hall after having a fit of coughs, his body was picked of all of his valuables. Just think his surprise when he awoke.
Rayner has been passing the years with working both sides of the fence, making himself a valuable aspect to both sides. He has chosen to sell each side information and weapons. Due to his age, he has managed to become nearly unreadable to his "allies". While he has maintained his childish and innocent appearance, he is anything but. He remains someone that should not be trusted, but still is. He makes it his business to know everything about everything and it is most definately his business to sell his findings to the highest bidder. Unlike his life before the gift, it seems that Rayner has acquired a great deal of wealth. To him, so long as he pleases both sides, he stands to make profit.
He has spent the last few hundred years travelling back and forth between territories to do business and harass a few select individuals on each side.

It was good to be on top. Yup. As Rayner sat there with a pair of shades covering his sea colored eyes. His lips played into a smirk as he gazed down at his hand. Naturally, when in a game of cards, it was never a good thing to expose one's hand. Rayner was a master at the poker face. But he was also a maestro in bluffing. He was doing so now. He didn't even bother to look at Braeg and a few of his other Brudjan chronies. After all, they were easy to play. While they had the brute force Ray lacked, they seemed to act a bit hasty when the Vampyr got cocky.
This was always fun.
Rayner pushed a pile of cash into the middle of the table. "All in," he said simply as he finally looked over to his card buddies.
"You're bluffing," Braeg said in a blunt tone, his brown eyes narrowing.
Rayner smirked as his eyebrow arched. "Really? how do you know?"
"You always smirk like that before you raise the pot."
"You're sure?"
"Yes."
"Positive?"
"Yeah!"
"I'm always smiling. The last four hands I've smiled and I do beleive I had something," he commented with a shrug. "What makes you think I don't have something else?"
"You can't. No one's that f*cking lucky!"
Rayner simply smirked. "You in or out?" He waited comfortably in his chair. Smugness crossed his smile as he watched his poker buddies all fold. Braeg grumbled as he set his cards down. Rayner hastily reached for the cash, turning his cards over to reveal a Queen of spades, four of clubs, seven of hearts, a three of hearts, and a ten of diamonds. He caught the furious expression of the Brudjans at the table. He pocketed the cash and grinned. "Well boys, it's been fun, gotta get back home. People to call, wallets to steal, paint to sniff, ecetera," he said quickly as he grabbed a briefcase Braeg had for him on the table and zipped out.
"I hate it when he does that," Braeg growled as he looked at the doorway where Rayner occupied.
